On this page we will update the activities and results of what our dogs have been doing!
A NEW YEAR AND LOTS OF NEW THINGS TO DO!! 2008!!!!
** August 30/31 - Tacoha wins Puppy in Group at Rockhampton KC **August 24 - "Matches" completes the Endurance Test to be awarded her "ET" title! She has had a great year with finally finishing her Aust CH title and now her ET. Once she settled, she worked well. For a girl that doesn't really like "strangers" and all those people prodding for the vet checks, she coped quite well. Well done to Richard who once again did a great job of handling!! Our girl is now AUST CH CHAMSHEP JUST MY TESSIE ET. **August 23 - Our new gorgeous addition arrives from WA. "Maddie" bounced out of the crate with her tail wagging. Thank you Sally Baxter of Karlyermai Kennels for sending us a beautiful little girl. We look forward to starting her show career very soon. Full details will be placed on our Silky Page very soon. **July 30 - Happy 16th Birthday Ethan, love always from all of us. **June 14 / 15 - Every year we plan to title Matches but as it isn't her favourite pastime we end up concentrating on our younger ones. Again this year we said the same thing, with the more shows she did the more comfortable she got with the idea and actually started to enjoy the weekends out! This weekend Matches finished with another 2 Best of Breeds to gain her Aust CH title so she is now "AUST CH CHAMSHEP JUST MY TESSIE". Way to go Matches! **June 1 - Tiara wins Best of Breed and Minor in Group while Kate wins Runner Up Best of Breed and Puppy in Group! **3 days of shows at Maryborough see Smokey come home with the final points needed for his Aust Ch title! (Aust CH Kindee Dixie Chic) And our gorgeous Terv girl "Tiara" wins a Best of Breed and 2 MINOR PUPPY IN GROUP awards, as well as some excellent comments from the judges - Mrs B Marker (a Terv owner) and Mrs M Rose. With 2007 now over and our move almost complete we are looking forward to another very busy year!! **November 9 - After complications with her pregnancy, we heartbreakingly lost our beautiful Cleo and her puppies. Rest in Peace beautiful girl, you will be sadly missed. Cleo was my son's dog and she worshipped the ground he walked on. We have longed for a "Dino" puppy and now we have two litters sired by him due within the next few weeks!! These puppies should be absolute stunners! Both litters line bred back to our original 2 Malinois. Tia's litter will give us 7 living generations! **August 26 - Traz gains his "ET" title today at Nanango & Dist All Breeds Kennel Club Inaugural Endurance Test. He is Aust CH Wolfonyx Alcatraz ET
**July 30 **July 26 - It is with much sadness that we announce the passing of a special young lady "Aust CH Chamshep Kayla". She was a very special companion to the "Beer" family, especially Peter, who I know is missing her terribly. After 2 weeks of complications after surgery she passed away peacefully with Peter by her side. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her. **June 9 - Belgian Shepherd Dog Club of QLD Specialty show. Judge - Mr Sonny Strom (Sweden) Tori is placed 4th in a HUGE class of quality Groenendael bitches! Dino was the eldest Malinois entered and wins Veteran of Breed, CHALLENGE DOG and RUNNER UP BEST OF BREED!! He received an excellent critique~ "well preserved!" Like a good wine, just gets better with age! He had so much fun in the show that it was hard to imagine that this boy is over 11 yrs old! **June 1, 2, 3 - Weekend away sees "Porsche" win 3 Best of Breed awards, pulled out for Best in Group and winning Intermediate in Group!! All handled expertly by Bryanna. What a team these 2 girls make! Oh and not to forget the first place in Junior Handlers!! (And a second place for Bryanna and "Ziggy" - a friends Labrador - Thanks heaps Sandra, I think Ziggy enjoyed himself!) **April 15 - Dino gets his final "Q" for his HT title! So he is now "Aust GRAND CH QCLA F CH Chamshep Dare Devil CD ET HT" Way to go Old Man!! **April 7 - My gorgeous "YOUNG MAN" Dino celebrates his 11th birthday - photos to come soon! Dino certainly doesn't look or act his age and we have no intentions of slowing down! He trains on sheep every week and we're hoping to get his "HT" very soon, then his "PT" before we concentrate on a few other activities. Dino still enjoys a run around the show ring occassionally - absolutely having a ball when he hasn't been out for a while. He is the sort of dog you would clone if possible. "HAPPY BIRTHDAY DINO, MANY MORE TO COME!!!" **March 30 - With one of our special cuddles, a kiss and a river of tears I said good bye to my special girl "Holly". Unfortunately the cancer had taken hold, she left us just short of her 11th birthday. Rest in Peace "Holl Doll" I will always miss our special cuddles and kisses every morning....
** Toowoomba Royal Show - Zayne wins Best of Breed. **Tweed Rivers Canine Club - Tori wins another Junior in Group! Tori and Porsche share a Best of Breed each while Flip and Teisha, Zayne and Sandy also share Best of Breed awards. **Weekend away at Rockhampton for Callide Valley Canine Club 10/11 March - Tori wins 2 Best of Breed awards and Junior in Group on Saturday. Zayne and Sandy share Best of Breed for 1 each. Flip wins Best of Breed Saturday, while Tia earns her AUST CH Title also on Saturday. Then on Sunday Tia does the ultimate! RESERVE IN GROUP / JUNIOR IN GROUP on Sunday under Mrs S Sullivan (VIC). A HUGE thank you to Mrs Sullivan for her encouraging words about all our Belgians! ** Gympie & Dist. Kennel Club 4th March - Zayne wins BEST OF BREED and AUST BRED IN GROUP!!(Judge - Mrs J Ashton (SA)) Would be great if he thought there was a HOT girl in front all the time........ **February - FUNKY is now AUST CH CHAMSHEP RED FUNK!! **Rockhampton Kennel Club - Porsche wins STATE BRED IN GROUP under Judge MR K McMillan (NSW). Herding lessons have started again and the dogs will hopefully be up to where we want them when the trials start. Our Silky's have started showing with Jake already half way to his title! The babies are enjoying themselves, though Corneal is not sharing the honours equally with his sister at this stage! Tracking will not commence until it cools down alot due to the overwhelming number of snakes around at the moment! Cleo, now recovered from her ordeal with a wriggly thing will start obedience training and work towards her CCD title - if we can both find the energy in this sweltering heat! Holly is still holding in there and looking really good. Fingers crossed that she stays that way for quite a while.......Light exercise has started and she is showing that despite her ordeal she is still quite fit. Unfortunately her skin is very tight due to the amount that had to be cut out and full stretching and movement can be a bit difficult at times. If she would just get in the dam and swim instead of running around the outside watching her Labrador mate she might she able to get some more mobility! She will enjoy a Lure Coursing run when the full races start up again in March. ******************************************************* 2006 was not as busy as we usually are but we still achieved alot! **December 25 - Cleo is bitten by a snake!! But after a week of "touch and go" and LOTS of Vitamin C injected, she is now up and running!! It is high alert now with the number of snakes seen in the last couple of weeks more than we have seen for years....... New Zealand is looking really good right now!! **Results are back from Holly's operation. She has been diagnosed with an acute carcinoma, a very rapid spreading, aggressive form of cancer......not the news we wanted to hear. Every day we have with her is a bonus and we will make the most of what time we have left together. At the moment she has recovered much better from her op than anyone could have imagined, so while she is still happy and active we will give her the best time we possibly can. When Holly first came to us she really didn't know how to play or interact very well. We now have our own "special" cuddle and kiss that we share every morning. She has become a very special friend and the thought of losing her is heartbreaking........ **December - Holly spends 3 days at the vet surgery and after some MAJOR, very long hours on the operating table, I get to bring my girl home! She is currently recovering well and looks to come through her ordeal no worse for wear! Mum on the other hand learnt to pray real quick! A HUGE thank you to our vet and his staff at Nanango Vet Surgery. **October sees Mouchette "Moo" celebrate her 14th Birthday!! See her special page for birthday pics!! **Weekend at Hervey Bay Kennel Club - Peeker comes home with her final points for Aust CH Title and Tori comes home with 1 Best of Breed and 2 Puppy in Group Awards!
